Weekday Ministry @ Marietta FUMC

We are beginning our pre-registration process for the 2012-2013 school year.  Please come and tour our school to see what we have to offer.  Tours will be given daily January 17 - 20 and 23-27 between 9:15 am – 1:30 pm.  We will also offer night tours on Thursday, January 19 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm and Wednesday, January 25 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.  You are welcome to contact us to set up an alternative time if the schedule above is not convenient for you.  Please click on the registration link under pages to get more information on how to pre-register online and about our Registration Day which is Friday, February 3.  We look forward to seeing you.

We are excited to announce a new toddler class that will begin January 10, 2012. The class will meet T/Th each week and will be taught by Ms. Kris and Ms. Latrice. If your child turned 1 on or before September 1, 2011 we would love to have him/her in this class. Registration begins October 17.  A $50.00 registration fee reserves your spot and your first tuition payment of $140.00 is due on December 1. **Please note enrollment must reach 8 students in order for us to have the class.  Please contact the Weekday office (770-427-3809) for more information.

End your Tailgate Treats night with a tour of our great preschool. Our doors will be open for prospective students (we would also love for our current and past students to come and see us) and their parents to see what our school has to offer. It is not too early to be thinking about preschool for the 2012-2013 school year and we even have a few openings left for this year. Tell your friends and neighbors to come and “trunk or treat” with us and see why Weekday Ministry is one of the best preschools around.

Put on your costumes and come to MFUMC for a spooky good time! Enjoy games, music, cake walk, hay ride, and of course candy! Prizes are awarded for best costumes, ages infant to adult, and best trunk decorations. Children please bring your own treat bag for “trunk and treating”, and parents bring your camera for a special photo-op. This is a tradition you don’t want to miss!

2011-2012 Weekday Parent Handbook

Dear Parents,

It is with great excitement that I write this letter. My name is Kelly Bachman and as of August 1, 2011, I was named the new Director of Weekday Ministry. I am thrilled to be in this position and to be able to work with you and your children this school year. I am no stranger to Weekday, as I have taught here for a total of 4 years and I have had my own children in the program for the past seven years. My family’s experience here has been phenomenal and I want nothing less for each of you.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University and I am currently a certified teacher.

My husband Chuck is an attorney with the law firm of Turner, Bachman & Garrett in Marietta. My daughter Hannah is in third grade at The Walker School and my son Tate is four years old and will be at Weekday this year. We have been members at Marietta FUMC for 11 years.

Please know that my door is always open for comments, concerns, or suggestions. We will be constantly evaluating and coming up with ways to enhance our curriculum, instruction, fundraisers, committees, etc. and we are already making some exciting changes. I want to hear from you so we continue to make this program the best in Marietta. You are giving your most precious gift to us and we do not take that responsibility lightly.

I look forward to the start of a great year and for some new beginnings in our program. As I close this letter, I ask that you pray for the staff, parents and students as we start this school year. I couldn’t be happier that you are here and I look forward to meeting all of you at the PAC Playdate on August 18th at 9:00 am on the playground. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
